“The Hair Boss” reality
show provides a multi-dimensional look at the real life and times of
stylists-turned hair bosses Kevin, who perpetually has baby mama
drama and Eddie, whose old-school Italian family (transplanted from
New York, of course) is ever-present. Eddie’s father, brother
and brother-in-law all work there.
Twenty and thirty
something stylists provide top service, provocative fodder and
drama:
Aaron (who is
over-the-top, self-indulgent, openly gay & married), Rachel (who
has had more ‘relationships’ than she cares to admit), Carl (who
prefers to be with his Pit bulls than his harem of female friends),
Christine (the veteran stylist who has a crush on Kevin and has a
propensity to enjoy a drink or two before she leaves work) and
Brittany (the ‘single’ girl who still a bit too attached to her
mother (who also works at the salon).
Holding it all together is
the female ‘hair boss,’ Cynthia, the GM of the salon with more than
25 years of experience.
Inside the salon it’s all
business and business is good. The 4,400 square foot location,
which is built on an inlet harbor, attracts upscale women and men of
all ages who don’t flinch at spending upwards of $300 a visit. The
demanding customer issues can be overwhelming to the predominantly
younger staff of stylists.
Step outside and that’s
where the real fun begins. Eddie and Kevin regularly party with the
stylists, providing the environment for an intense love-hate
relationship.
“The Hair Boss” takes
